- The Doula Project and Cultural Interpretation has received a very positive response from the MVC midwives and hospital midwives, as well as from the women who received the support of a doula. The project will continue throughout 2009 with support from the Public Health Committee of Västra Götaland. Effective in 2010, the program will be funded by the Health and Medical Boards in Gothenburg. We have also recieved support from the EU Integration Fund to train the doulas to lead birth preparation groups for immigrant women.

- Födelsehuset sells DVDs of the birth documentaries “Orgasmic Birth” and “The Business of Being Born” (produced by Ricki Lake).
